A story that begins with white hair and the bright sun
House BELICA has its roots in 1898, when Grandpa Pepo was born. His mother nicknamed him Belička because of his light, almost silver hair, which eventually became more than just a term of endearment – it became the spirit of the estate.
Since then, the name BELICA has been passed down through generations as a symbol of authenticity, family bonds, and respect for the land.

Restaurant
Our restaurant is based on a simple yet powerful principle: fresh, seasonal, and local. We prepare dishes using traditional recipes passed down by the local women of Brda, with a modern touch that respects tradition while delighting today's guests.
We mainly use local ingredients from Brda and Širi Goriška, complemented by wines from our cellar as the perfect pairing.
We don't believe in fixed menus; instead, our offerings change weekly based on what nature provides at the moment. Every day, we present two carefully crafted menus inspired by seasonal ingredients and the time of year. Come for something simple. Leave knowing you've tasted something special.

Goriška Brda, a playful, undulating world between the Alps and the Adriatic, will captivate you at first glance with its vibrant palette of colors, enticing aromas, and unforgettable tastes. Millions of years ago, this landscape was submerged beneath the sea. During that time, the fertile sloped land began to form, and today it yields abundant crops: juicy fruits, fragrant herbs, and wines of exceptional quality.
As the sea receded, Mother Nature shaped this idyllic landscape of hills, crisscrossed with streams and rivers, covered in lush greenery over centuries. The gentle slopes descend toward the Friulian lowlands, with the horizon blending into the blue of the Adriatic Sea.
People here have always lived in harmony with nature. From hardworking hands, vineyards, orchards, olive groves, herb gardens, and fields have blossomed—creating the fairy-tale-like, lively landscape that enchants with its beauty and richness.
